Order: Pledge of Allegiance Citizens Advisory Committee survey : Christy Wheat and Mr. Chen introduced to represent committee; their job: Do research for the committee and report findings back to school board. Questions posed as follows: 1. All day kindergarten – Is there an interest? 5 people raised hands for all day kindergarten Options: full day, half day, or pay for kindergarten full day Mandatory vs. non-madatory; Comment: Is a child missing content if they opt out of all day kindergarten. Response: In all day kindergarten the children would receive 20-30 minutes more instructional time. Cost would be about $2,000.00 per child 2. Campus schools: IE: one elementary school have K and first grade and another having all 2nd grade, and so forth All of the following addressed: bussing issues, special needs children, PTA and LINK issues, adaptation of a child to different schools each year and changing teachers. The following would not be available: student mentoring; IE: bus helpers, 4th grade readers to K classes Follow Up: 1. Study to go to the Board in April. 2. Please attend School Board meetings on

Money goes to high school scholarships in $1,000.00 increments. Ohio PTA sent back our remittances from earlier this year: Volunteers: Kay Bertermann, Karen Jones, Chris Gruttadaria, Janet Auer Motion to review by-laws and discuss ways the PTA Board will be addressed by Anne Marie Farr and Jen Nebraska; motion carried Motion to accept the stated volunteers above as the committe to review the needed by-laws by Marie Thompson and Laurie Bolwes; motion carried · Giant Eagle: gift cards- continuing to sell them; NEED to vote on if we should add this to standing committees next meeting · 2 checks from abitibi bin: $8 and $5 · No Child Left Behind Issue Assessment: Measures what each child is learning and the expectations of their one year's worth of growth. IE: Each child needs to learn beyond their current level. No interest from quorum in having guest speaker in February.
