Helpful Websites

These sites can be used for tutoring help, get extra practice problems, review, post a question on a forum, print graph paper, use a graphing calculator, and many more useful tools.  I rated them out of 4 stars.

-          http://algebrahelp.com/: put in an equation or other problems, and it will show you the solution step-by-step! Contains lessons and practice problems.

-          http://www.freemathhelp.com/forum/ : post a question or math problem on this forum, and a math  expert will reply with the solution. Reply times are between 1 – 2 hours.

-          math911.com : Much more detailed and better than Algebrahelp.com, but this is a pay service ($30). Type problem in and it goes step-by-step.

-          http://www.mathgoodies.com/homework/ : this site has quantity, but lacks quality. There are a lot of useful tools, practice problems, forum, and homework calculator (exp. for factoring).

-          http://www.sparknotes.com/math/ : good review problems for Pre-algebra students. Answers are provided, but no steps are given.

-          http://www.1728.com/indexalg.htm : algebra calculator. You input the problem and it gives the answer. Good for system of equations, slope, distance formula, and quadratic equations.

-          http://www.quickmath.com/ - great Algebra calculator, but shows only answers, no steps.

-          http://www.mathematicshelpcentral.com/graph_paper.htm : FREE graph paper!

-          http://www.math.com/homeworkhelp/Algebra.html lots on here, including tutoring and graphing calculators.

-          http://www.westlake.k12.oh.us/lbmsteachers/Mann/index.htm: Mrs. Mann’s website is fantastic! A lot of the 7th grade curriculum is re-taught in the 8th grade and should be mastered! Mrs. Mann also has great games and other interactive puzzles. Need a challenge? Check it out.
