The CAC Team

The CAC team is comprised of a diverse cross-section of the Westlake community and generally includes 12 appointed members serving 3-year terms, 5 alternate members appointed to one year “member in training”  roles, 2 student members from Westlake High School and 3 community representatives from various organizations in Westlake

The Superintendent of Schools and President of the Board of Education are ex officio members of the CAC.

Time Commitment

The CAC generally meets at least 10 times per year (September through June).  Meetings are currently held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30 in the offices of the Board of Education.   Project subcommittees may meet several times per year outside of the regularly scheduled CAC meetings, depending on the scope and time requirements of a particular project.

Membership Process

Membership Applications are accepted in April - May of each year.  With the exception of community representatives, applicants must be residents of the City of Westlake. A nominating committee of the CAC conducts interviews in the May – June timeframe and raises recommended candidates to the Board of Education for approval.
