Yo Yo Ma is a great cello player. Mr. Ma started playing the cello at age four. Yo Yo Ma went to Juilliard School and studied under Leonard Rose. In 1978 he won the Avery Fisher Prize. The Avery fisher Prize gives extremely talented musician recognition that they can build their career on, as well as $15,000 Usually considered a classical performer, Mr. Ma has had many cross-over performances.. He has many c.d.’s out such as, Silk Road Journeys, Classic Yo-Yo and Hush. In addition Yo Yo Ma has accompanied many orchestras. YoYo Ma is one of the world’s great classical musicians.
