1-Numbers |
Write the
numbers from 1-10 in French, spelled correctly, and draw the appropriate
number of pictures beside it. You may
choose what kind of pictures to draw.

2- Map of France |
Label and
color the map of France that was distributed in class: Student may choose any
6 cities, 3 rivers, all mountain
ranges, 3 surrounding bodies of water, and 6 bordering countries. |

3-Forecast |
Students
are supposed to find the 5 day forecast for Westlake - from newspaper,
computer, or television. Using the
expressions learned in class the student needs to draw and describe in
French their own 5 day forecast from the obtained information. |

4-Outfits |
Students are
supposed to look at 3 people at home and describe what they are
wearing, including the color, in French.
If there are not 3 people at home students may describe friends at school instead, or even create a
pretend brother, sister, etc.
Example: Sophia porte un
pantalon bleu, une chemise noir, et des souliers café. |

5-Clothing
Worksheet |
Students
are to complete the worksheet given in class using clothing and colors. They should write in complete sentences
beginning with, “Je porte” and should
include at least 2 items for each situation.
The bottom portion of the worksheet is optional. |

6-Labeled
drawing of person/ 5 pieces of clothing |
Students
are supposed to draw a person with clothes and label 5 of the pieces of
clothing, in French, including color.
It can be a humorous drawing or a stick person. The picture can also be cut from a magazine
or downloaded off the computer. |

7-Suitcase |
Students
are to choose one of the countries where French is an official language and pretend
to visit it for a week. They are to
draw a suitcase on a piece of paper and draw 10 clothing items that we have
been studying, color them and label including the color. This project was started in class and needs
to be finished for hw. Items may be
repeated as long as a different color is used. |

8-Adjective
sentences |
Students
are to select 7 of the adjectives learned in class and make a sentence for
each one using a famous person. For
example, if the adjective is “big,” the sentence for that one could be:
“Shaquille O’neil est grand. “ |

9-Family
Tree |
Students
have been asked to bring a family photo from home to be used in class. Any photo will do. They are to draw a family tree, labeling
each family member in French, and then write two sentences about each family
member following the model given in class.
The students will have plenty of time to complete this project in
class, if not, it then becomes homework. |

10-pen pal
letter |
This
assignment is mainly for in-class work but if not finished, student should
finish for homework. First paragraph
is about student, using past knowledge, follow example provided in
class. Second paragraph is about
family, including extended family. |

11-food
orders |
Students are
supposed to write out how they would order 3 full meals, politely, in
French. They are to use the
information and notes taken in class. |
|
12-menu |
Students
began to design a French menu in class to coordinate with the other ones in
their group, they are supposed to finish it for hw. |

13-building
clues |
Students
are supposed to write a clue, in English, for each of the buildings that we
are studying in class. There are 10.
ie: where would you go to find teachers?
Do not give answer. |
