Holland’s Health

Fifth Grade Health

The students will have a lesson also on Home Alone Skills that one of our parents Mrs. Beyer instructs which is helpful with information to help.  We have some students who might find themselves alone for some portion of the day.

Some where around the end of January the Mrs. Dee Kuclo & I present fifth graders with a Growth & Development teaching.  Mrs. Kuclo instructs the girls, while I instruct the boys.  This program is repeated three days in a row and the entire fifth grade receives the instruction unless parents would like to opt out.  Mrs. Kuclo has developed this program over the past sixteen years or so for our fifth graders.  Last year was my second experience in making this presentation and I can truly say that Mrs. Kuclo has done a wonderful job helping students and parents begin to break the ice over discussing their growth and development.  Parents that would like titles of the books Dee had for you to review at our evening program are listed below.  Also, I mention a wonderful reference was a book entitled the Making of a Modern Day Knight that my brother has used to help him talk with his four children as they went through the puberty/adolescent years.

AS OFFICER DELFING SAYS, TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE.

Do you know that by having someone smile, raise both hands, or recite a simple sentence you can determine if someone has suffered a stroke?
