Westlake High School offers two Jazz ensembles to Instrumental Music students. Both groups are under the direction of Mrs. Hilary Patriok. Jazz I (pictured above) is an auditioned group that meets as a class daily. Jazz I performs at numerous concerts, school and community events and clinics.

Jazz II is a volunteer group that meets two mornings a week before school once the marching season has concluded. Jazz II performs at school concerts and clinics.

Guest clinicians are often brought in to work with both groups. Jazz I performed at the 2019 OMEA Professional Development Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
