Students and their families are encouraged to come and find your classroom, meet your teacher, and bring your school supplies.  As a special treat, Kona Ice and Franks-n-Shakes food trucks will be here if you would like to purchase something to nibble on (cash, debit and credit cards accepted).

Welcome back! We hope that you had a fun and relaxing summer.  We at WES are fully recharged and ready for an exciting year of learning and activities!  August brings many organizational and get-to-know-you activities within the classroom and around the building...and then comes September!  D.A.R.E. lessons will begin for all students with Officer Cook.  Kindergarten and Third Grade will have field trips towards the end of the month, and all of our students will be treated to a live performance by the Westlake High School Marching Band.

Here is the Family Welcome Letter from Mr. Plantner, our Head Principal. There is a lot of information that is important in starting the school year strong, so please have a look.

Important Dates to Make Note of:

• August 13:  Bus rider information will be sent home via Stop Finder.  Please be sure to load the app.                                                                         
• August 17:  Parents will be able to access class assignments at 3:00 pm 
• August 20:  First Day of School, grades 1-4. First Bell - 8:45; Last Bell - 9:00.  Once the front doors are closed, students are Tardy and must be signed in by a parent. 
• August 25:  First Day of Kindergarten                                                             
• August 26:  First Day of Preschool                                                                     
• Sept. 3:  WESPTA Meeting, 7:00 pm @ WES Cafeteria                                 
• Sept. 7:  Labor Day (No School)                                                                         
• Sept. 30:  Picture Day, Grades PK, 2 & 4
