Westlake Elementary School
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held in the evenings on November 21st and 25th, from 4:45 - 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, November 26th, Conferences will be held all day, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 3:40 p.m., with a one-hour break for lunch from 12:00 - 1:00. There will be no school for students on Tuesday, November 26 only so that our teachers are available to meet with you. Since this is an important time for you to connect one-on-one with your child's teacher, please try to leave students and other children at home, as there will be no provision for childcare.
If you have not already scheduled your conference, please contact your child's teacher via email to see what time slots remain.
🍂🍁 November Highlights 🍁🍂
Welcome to the Second Quarter! With only 15 student days this month, we are busier than ever. We kick off the month with field trips for both first and second grade. November is our National Month of Thanks, and we are starting out by honoring our WES family servicemen and women with a special celebration on November 8th. Our students have learned what patriotism and sacrifice mean, and we thank our veterans and their families for their commitment and service to our country. Learning continues with D.A.R.E. lessons provided by Officer Cook. A much loved and anticipated event - The Scholastic Book Fair - begins on November 18 and runs through the 25th. To wrap up before Thanksgiving, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on November 21st and 25th in the evening, and all day on the 26th (no school for students this day only). Please watch ParentSquare for sign-up times. Last, we celebrate Thanksgiving! Remember that our break is from November 27-29. School resumes on December 2.
